Terms of Service.

What you agree to when you use tode: accounts, API keys, plans and billing, the event quota, and what happens when an account closes.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Tode ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Tode provides analytics for Figma plugins and widgets. You embed our SDK in your plugin, it sends usage events to our servers, and the dashboard at app.usetode.dev shows them to you.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Send events on behalf of plugins you do not own, or send fabricated events

You are responsible for the data your plugin collects about its users. You must have a lawful basis for collecting it, describe it in your own privacy notice and comply with Figma's developer terms.

5. API Keys

Each plugin you register gets an API key. The key ships inside your plugin bundle, so treat it as a public identifier, not a secret: anyone who extracts it can send events to your plugin. We limit how many requests one IP address and one Figma user can send, and we may suspend a key or a plugin that is used abusively.

You can rotate a key in the dashboard at any time. The previous key keeps working for 24 hours after rotation so that users on an older build are not cut off.

6. Plans, Billing and Limits

One subscription covers your whole account. The plans are:

  • Free, $0: 1 plugin, 2,000 events per period, 2 event types per plugin, 7 days of retention
  • Starter, $12 per month: 3 plugins, 100,000 events per period, 20 event types per plugin, 90 days of retention
  • Pro, $39 per month: 10 plugins, 1,000,000 events per period, unlimited event types, 365 days of retention
  • Business, $99 per month: 30 plugins, 5,000,000 events per period, unlimited event types, 730 days of retention

Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly through Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record, which handles payment and applicable taxes.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately.
  • Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. A downgrade is refused while you have more active plugins than the target plan allows; archive plugins first.
  • Cancellation keeps your plan until the end of the paid period, after which the account moves to Free. Plugins above the Free limit are paused, not deleted.
  • Refunds are handled case by case; email hello@usetode.dev.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next renewal.

The event quota counts every event across all your plugins per billing period (per calendar month on Free). When the quota is used up, new events are rejected until the period resets and are not recovered. Events for event types beyond your plan's limit are rejected as well. Events older than your plan's retention window are deleted nightly.

7. SDK

The @tode-sdk packages are open source under the MIT license, as stated in each package. These Terms govern the Service, not the SDK code.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Tode, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by Tode and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@usetode.dev. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

When an account is terminated, everything it holds is deleted: the account itself, its plugins, their API keys, all analytics events and all sign-in data. Payment records stay with Lemon Squeezy for as long as accounting law requires. Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to five weeks before they rotate out.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

12. Limitation of Liability

Tode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without notification.
